Have you ever wondered why so many motivational videos and biopics focus on a personā€™s suffering? People know Jack Ma as the only guy who was rejected at the KFC, or J.K Rowling is more known because 12 publishers rejected her Etcā€¦

OK hereā€™s a task for you. Just pick up any random motivational videos or biopics on the internet and you see more than half of the videos/biopics talk about a personā€™s suffering and how he struggles throughout his life.

But the question is WHY ??

The answer lies in the fact that stories of suffering sell. The motivational industry has become a billion-dollar business precisely because tales of overcoming obstacles and enduring hardships resonate deeply with audiences.

Everybody suffers, some emotionally, some physically, and some mentally. Whether you do or donā€™t do something, you will still face small struggles in your life. which makes suffering relatable/relevant. As a result, we think ā€˜I am suffering. I am also doing something bigā€. In fact, some people even act or show that they suffer to appear relatable (shocking huh!?).

If nobody buys my paintings, I would say the first seven works by Picasso were also not sold. If I was rejected for the job ā€œI thought jack ma also got rejectedā€.

He was also Dyslexic.

He was also Estranged.

He was also Poor.

I am 100% damn sure that we can learn anything from these great people suffering is not even on the list but there is one thing we can learn from these people and their journey and they all had in common that is FUN. Fun is also common in all these great peopleā€™s lives.

If Edison isnā€™t had FUN making bulbs he is never able to reach his 1000 bulb.
If Jk Rowling isnā€™t had FUN she also stopped after being rejected by maybe 3ā€“4 or 5 book publishers.
If colonel sanders and Ray Kroc isnā€™t had FUN trying/starting a new business after failing every time they are never able to start restaurants like K.F.C and Mcā€™donalds.

It is essential to understand that the statement ā€œNo breakthrough invention has ever been achieved without funā€ holds profound truth. While motivational videos and stories may have their place in inspiring us, the key lies in shifting our focus from suffering to the fun. When we genuinely enjoy our work, the need for external motivation diminishes. Fun becomes the driving force that empowers us to face any struggle or suffering that comes our way.

Therefore, let us redefine the narrative. Instead of fixating solely on suffering, let us embrace the transformative power of fun. Find joy in what you do, and you will discover a wellspring of motivation and resilience to overcome any challenge. It is through infusing fun into the endeavors that we truly thrive, not through dwelling on suffering alone.
